When I started I had some fairly serious medical issues.
While not quite life threatening, still, I need regular trips to the doctor for monitoring.
In the beginning (04/27/11)
Lantus (an insulin) 80 units per day
Metformin 1000 mg twice a day
Actos 45 mg once a day
Lisinopril 20 mg once a day
Simvastatin 40 mg once a day
Lasix 20 mg once a day
Currently (01/02/13)
Lantus (an insulin) 26 units per day
Metformin 1000 mg twice a day
Actos 45 mg once a day
Lisinopril 20 mg once a day
Simvastatin 40 mg once a day
Lasix 40 mg once a day
When all is said and done, I don't want to be taking ANY of these medications! The more weight I take off and the more I can control my sugar levels, the more the insulin can come down and the orals can come down. It's just a matter of staying on plan, all the way around, both with eating and medications. Once I get to exercising on a regular basis (I'm working on that) it'll all go hand in hand.
