A friend of mine posted this on her Facebook page and of course I had to steal it (she knows I'm stealing it, so is it then really stealing....) and share it with you cheerleaders because I want your input....
So do me a favor and chime in and give me your feedback because I'd really like to know.
But then you pick yourself up, you collect yourself and you look to see where you need to go to move forward to walk away from where you were just so that you can be away from it. Right now you have to realize it's okay to not necessarily know where you're going, just to know that you're not going back to where you were. Be resolute in that knowledge. That. Is the most important thing.

Every person has the own beautiful, magnificent, natural size. My sil is a size zero, naturally. My ds is a size 4, unnaturally(bulimia). My mom is a size 14, age 64, and it is all natural for her at this point in her life. As women, I'd like to focus more on our sisterhood, than competing and judging. Peace.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree....when we don't rise up in support of each other all we do is tear each other down. We can have good natured competition in order to help motivate us to keep us on track to reach our goals. At least in my opinion that's how I see things working for me to reach my goals. When I say good natured competition, I mean that to be as well to say that when I'm working with another that if we're both working to reach a goal (say to lose 20 pounds) whoever gets there first buys the other a pair of jeans or a sweater. Something along those lines. Where there's an incentive to work towards the goal and a tangible reward at the end and the other person who is in it with you cares about you and is happy for you regardless and doesn't begrudge you the loss.
DeleteAs well I agree with you in that every person has their own beauty, regardless of size. Some you may have to search a bit more for it, lol, but it's there. I'm on this journey because of my health, I'm not in search of a size, I'm in search of better health and I want to be free of pharmaceuticals and I want to be able to run a marathon with my husband and I want to gain a few physical skills I don't currently have such as learning how to swim and repelling. So on this journey to find these things it'll require me to lose some weight, just to make some of it easier. Which to be honest, I don't mind. ......well, sometimes I do because I reallllllly enjoy having M & M's without having to worry about what will happen to my sugar levels. lol
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs!
